Custom Design Process

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER

Custom Wedding & Event Stationery | Calligraphy & Hand Lettering

It is our goal to make sure your custom design and hand lettering experience with Gold Anchor Weddings and Design is smooth right from the beginning. From design inception to final print and mailing, we are with you every step of the way!
Below is an overview of our custom design process, and what you can expect along the way.

Production time has increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
​Orders will be processed as quickly as possible in the order they are received. 

Step 1

DESIGN CONSULTATION

Our first step is getting to know you! We want to hear all about your wedding or social event, color pallet, style, and any design pieces you have already decided on.
Design consultations are always complementary and essential to understanding your needs and expectations. In-person or via phone/video conference.

 Step 2

CONTRACT SIGNING

After discussing the details for your special event, we will present a Design Agreement that will include our custom design retainer fee, and outline the overall details of your project. Simply sign and return your agreement with the retainer payment to get started. 
Turn around estimates will be provided for you in the contract

Step 3 

DESIGN AND PROOFING

This step is perhaps the most crucial to the design process. Here you will approve and finalize your designs via emailed proof. Although there are usually not many revisions, you are able to make any changes needed to the designs in this stage. It is of the utmost importance to us that you are in love with your custom design!

Step 4

PAYMENT & 
PRODUCTION

You will receive an invoice laying out your entire project in detail, that can be paid online at this time. Once your project items are through production, any assembled needed will be done by hand and with lots of love. We take great pride in providing such a specialized service and will make sure everything is ready to go when you receive it. 
​Shipping will be through USPS Priority Mail with tracking. Rush shipping is available. 

Addressing

GUEST ADDRESSING
​AND MAILING

Please allow a minimum of
3 additional weeks when adding calligraphy addresses to your custom order. 
PRINTED ADDRESSES
If your guest addresses are being printed directly on the envelopes, we will place your assembled invitations in the envelopes so they are ready to be mailed. We are happy to provide concierge mailing services for our clients, with postage and mailing supplies invoiced separately. Interested in custom postage stamps? We can do that too! 

HANDWRITTEN CALLIGRAPHY
If you've packaged handwritten calligraphy with your custom order, we will begin lettering at this time. Once all pieces have been lettered, we will assemble them with your custom order and mail everything to you, or if you've selected our concierge mailing service, we can take care of everything for you. One less thing for you to worry about while planning your special event!
