INSPIRATION AND INSIGHT FOR WEDDINGS AND SOCIAL EVENTS

Micro Wedding Feature

As couples continue to bravely navigate planning a wedding during a pandemic, I am amazed to see the creativity and flexibility from couples in full force.  Some are opting for smaller gatherings all together, some are having a mini celebration now and the large celebration later, and other just embracing the full postponement until we are all able to safely gather in large groups again.  Either way, style and intimacy of each unique wedding is never sacrificed, and beautiful moments have emerged during such a challenging time.
I wanted to take a moment and spotlight a gorgeous micro wedding that took place in an intimate patio setting this past November here in Texas.

Susannah and Nick chose to hold an intimate, immediate family only gathering after Thanksgiving, and decided their bigger celebration would be held later in 2022, once the dust of the pandemic settled a bit more.  Even with a smaller, more intimate wedding, proper planning was just as necessary and important to make sure everything ran smoothly.  From a socially distanced rehearsal and wedding day set up, to the guest drive by that evening, health and safety was of the utmost importance. The couple was able to include a few extra friends and family members virtually by having a video stream set up for guests to watch from their own homes.

They embraced the colors of the season with rich hues of golden yellow, burgundy, rusted orange, rose gold and deep greens.  Wild and loose floral elements with pops of vintage flair {check out the gorgeous velvet settee} made the setting feel just dreamy for their special day.  Traditional invitations were revised to reflect an announcement style wording commemorating their ceremony, with plans to have more formal invitation suites designed and sent to guest in 2022.  Custom designed paper accents for tags and menus and soft silk ribbons with gauzy fabrics were used to create a romantic and cozy atmosphere on the patio.  Did I mention there were moose antlers? - A permanent piece on the patio that made for a super fun and unique floral vignette.  Elegant touches to honor family members no longer present provided a special memorial, keeping the closeness of their joining families front and center. String lights were used to enclose the entire patio area, creating an ultra magical setting, one they are sure to cherish for years to come.

Check out the beautiful images from their intimate micro wedding day, captured by the talented Rachel Henry Photography!
